A sizable number of St. Louis businesses have signed on to “save the raise” — pledging to continue to pay at least $10/hour even as the legal requirement in the city drops back to $7.70.

More than 100 businesses in the city have signed on this summer to a campaign led by the “Fight for 15” group to keep paying the higher rate. Those businesses include numerous restaurants, music venues, retail shops and even a hotel (the Moonrise, y’all!). The office of city Treasurer Tishaura Jones has also made the pledge.
